In the compound archery competition held in Yecheon, Han Seungyeon scored a remarkable 711 points to lead the pack. She was closely followed by Mariya Shkolna of Luxembourg and her Korean teammate Oh Yoohyun on the leaderboard. As a top performer, Han expressed her satisfaction with her performance after feeling frustrated in a previous competition in Shanghai.
Among the top performers in the men’s category were Nico Wiener, who won stage one with 710 points, and two top archers, Jyothi Surekha Vennam and Sara Lopez. Jyothi, seeded fifth with 706 points, was thrilled about his performance and expressed his focus on staying on pace for the competition. Sara, seeded ninth with 694 points, also impressed with her skill and determination.
The competition will continue with compound eliminations in the morning and recurve qualifying in the afternoon. The remaining competitors will be vying for positions on the podium as they strive to become champions of this prestigious event.
