Health Violations Lead to Temporary Closures of Restaurants in San Bernardino County

1 min read

During the week of May 29 to June 6, San Bernardino County health inspectors ordered several restaurants and food establishments to close due to health code violations. Some of these establishments were later allowed to reopen after addressing the issues.

One of the closures was at the Red Hill Coffee Shop located at 16757 Foothill Blvd. in Fontana, which was shut down on May 29 due to a cockroach infestation. However, it was later allowed to reopen on May 31 after taking necessary measures to address the issue.

Another closure occurred at Burger King located at 1550 E. Main St. in Barstow on May 31 for operating without a valid health permit. This establishment has since been allowed to reopen after obtaining the necessary permits.

Food sales at a Shell station located at 40873 Sunrise Canyon Road in Yermo were halted on June 4 due to the absence of potable water. The station is currently working on installing new water sources and has been allowed to remain open during this time.

In updates from the previous week, Cafe Rio at 16938 S. Highland Drive, Suite 400, Fontana, which was closed on May 29 because of insufficient hot water, was able to reopen on May 30 after installing new water heaters and fixtures.
