Grant bolsters community health center’s efforts to bridge healthcare gap in Memphis

Christ Community Health Services Inc. has been awarded a $3,354,327 grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to continue its efforts in providing medical care to underserved populations in Memphis. Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) made the announcement today, expressing his satisfaction with the funding and highlighting the critical role that community health centers play in filling the gap left by state government decisions, such as the lack of Medicaid expansion in Tennessee.

The grant will enable Christ Community Health Services to continue its vital work in providing healthcare services to those who may otherwise go without. It serves as a significant contribution towards addressing healthcare disparities and ensuring that all members of the community have access to quality medical care.
