23-year-old Wyll Stanway, who had an impressive season with Chester in the National League North last year, has joined hometown club Barrow. Although the exact transfer fee has not been disclosed, Stanway is excited to have finalized the deal and is eager to contribute to the team’s success.
Stanway kept 19 clean sheets in 46 appearances for Chester last season, helping them secure a 10th place finish. He expressed his joy at signing for Barrow and acknowledged the positive direction that the club is heading in. Stanway’s initial contract with Barrow is for two years, with the option for an extension in the future.
