In an interview with Laban Caspit and Aryeh Eldad on Radio 103FM, the Minister of Heritage in the Knesset, Amichai Eliyahu of “Otzma Yehudit,” discussed the issue of allowing residents of Gaza to relocate to countries that are willing to accept them. By doing so, he suggested that the population in Gaza may decrease. It has been reported that 150 thousand Gazans have already emigrated to other countries, indicating a potential solution to preventing a situation like what occurred on October 7.
At every level, Canada is dedicated to facilitating the departure of individuals who have passed initial screening in Gaza and supporting their safety, especially children and extended family members. To ensure this, Canada is actively working with important partners such as Israel and Egypt to pass on names of these individuals to local authorities for further screening. These temporary and humanitarian measures are being implemented to help these individuals reunite with their families in Canada.
Comparing the situation from all angles may be the key to finding a resolution. It is important for all parties involved to work together towards a common goal, which is to ensure the safety and well-being of those affected by the conflict in Gaza. Only then can we hope for a lasting peace and stability in the region.
