On Monday evening, Ezequiel Brown, 44, was arrested in southern Miami-Dade County after attempting to flee from police on an orange sports motorbike. Detectives in an unmarked police car recognized the stolen sports motorbike being ridden by Brown near Southwest 152nd Avenue and Lincoln Drive.
Brown refused to stop for the detectives and continued to speed away recklessly, even looking back at the detectives multiple times. Despite attempts to use “police emergency equipment” on the unmarked car, Brown eventually abandoned the motorbike and ran near Southwest 288 Street and Kentucky Road. He was apprehended by the detectives shortly before 7 p.m. on Monday and booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center after midnight on Tuesday.
According to records, Brown’s license had been suspended on March 11. He appeared in court to face charges stemming from four cases, including grand theft, fleeing and eluding police, driving with a suspended license, and reckless driving. His bond was set at $5,300, and Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Laura Maria Gonzalez-Marques was scheduled to preside over the case.
