The Phoenix Suns are set to bring back point guard Isaiah Thomas for the rest of the season following his second 10-day contract, as reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic. Thomas rejoined the Suns on March 20th, returning to the team he previously played for during the 2014-15 season. After making a successful comeback in the NBA, he played his first game since the 2021-22 season on March 20th.
In his time with the team, Thomas has appeared in four out of ten games and scored five points and two assists in just 14 minutes. Head coach Frank Vogel mentioned upon Thomas’ initial signing that he would not be a part of the rotation when the team is healthy but would provide depth in case of injuries or foul trouble. Thomas, who is an 11-year veteran with playoff experience, expressed confidence in his ability to score when called upon and also in his capacity to be a positive influence in the locker room.
With just four games remaining in the regular season, the Suns are fighting for a top six spot to avoid missing out on playoffs. They will face off against Los Angeles Clippers twice in their upcoming week, with a home game on Tuesday followed by an away game on Wednesday. Fans can catch all
