In west central Indiana, the IU Health Foundation has launched the “All the Difference: The Campaign for Indiana’s Health” as part of a statewide fundraising effort. This campaign aims to transform Indiana into one of the healthiest states in the country by funding hospital-based initiatives that help Hoosiers avoid and treat illness and injury. Programs addressing social factors that contribute to poor health will also be eligible for funding.
The All the Difference campaign seeks to raise $200 million, with funds being applied towards cardiovascular care, workforce development, cancer care, orthopedics, neuroscience, and infant and maternal health improvement. The campaign is set to run until 2027 and encourages donations from both individuals and institutions.
Gary Henriott, chair of the IU Health Foundation’s board, emphasized that achieving the vision of making Indiana healthier will require collaboration from everyone who cares about west central Indiana. Crystal Miller, president of IU Health Foundation, highlighted the importance of philanthropy in enabling IU Health to innovate, stretch further, accelerate implementation, take risks and provide the best care for Hoosiers.
Indiana currently ranks in the bottom 10 for state government public health spending. To learn more about this exciting initiative or how you can get involved with donations or volunteering opportunities please contact Ashley Pleasant for more information.
