In the coming month, a new Gulf Coast-themed sports and dive bar called Floridaman will be opening its doors on the second floor of Breaker Breaker on the Eastside Beltline. Named after a persona commonly used in news headlines that has become a meme, this concept was inspired by the team’s own experiences growing up in Florida, where such bizarre incidents are a regular occurrence along the Gulf Coast.
Floridaman is set to bring a fun and laid-back atmosphere to Atlanta, with seating overlooking the Beltline offering guests a unique view while they relax and unwind. The space will be decorated with patterned lounge furniture, artwork, lighting installations, and tropical plants, giving it a reminiscent feel of Breaker Breaker’s vibe but with a more tropical twist.
The food menu at Floridaman will feature handheld items and dips that pair well with drinks. One of their signature dishes is the Floridaman sandwich, a twist on the Tampa Cuban featuring roasted chicken, ham, salami, Swiss cheese, pickles, mustard, and mayonnaise. For drinks, patrons can choose from two potent frozen cocktails on tap alongside a beer and wine list and selection of canned cocktails.
