Joline Godfrey, a native of Maine with over thirty years of experience in financial education and well-being for families, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Herring Gut Coastal Science Center in Port Clyde. Godfrey is renowned for her innovative approach to financial education, which has earned her speaking and consulting opportunities around the world.
Godfrey received her education from the University of Maine and Boston University before being recognized for her achievements in financial education with an Honorary Degree in Business from Bentley College. Her work has been featured in various media outlets such as The Today Show, Oprah, Fortune, and The New York Times. She is also the subject of a Harvard Business School Case Study.
The executive director of Herring Gut, Dr. Sarah Oktay, expressed excitement about Godfrey joining the board, noting that her perspective and life experience will be valuable in strategic planning and addressing current challenges. Godfrey splits her time between Tenants Harbor, Maine, and Ojai, California.
