Ferrari Defends 24 Hours of Le Mans Title in Rainy Conditions, Beating Toyota by Just Seconds

1 min read

In the 92nd edition of the challenging endurance race at Le Mans, Ferrari emerged victorious once again, beating Toyota to claim the 24 Hours race title for the second consecutive year. The race was marked by wet conditions and persistent rain overnight led to long yellow flag periods, slowing down the race and making it tough for the drivers.

However, Ferrari’s number 50 car, driven by Nicklas Nielsen, managed to take the chequered flag despite almost running out of fuel. Nielsen shared the driving duties with Antonio Fuoco and Miguel Molina, securing Ferrari’s win. Toyota’s number seven GR010 hybrid crossed the finish line 14.221 seconds behind the Ferrari in a closely fought battle.

Ferrari also secured the third spot on the podium with their number 51 car. Last year, Ferrari achieved their first overall victory at the Sarthe circuit in 58 years, and this year they successfully defended their title in challenging conditions. Porsche’s pole car finished in fourth place, just over a second behind Ferrari’s number 51 car, while Toyota’s number eight car rounded out the top five finishers in the race.
