Eye Spy: Kansas City Science City’s New Interactive Exhibit for Kids and Families

2 min read

Kansas City’s Science City recently opened its latest interactive exhibit, “Eye Spy,” to visitors. The 2,000 square feet of immersive activities are designed for kids and families to enjoy. The exhibit replaced the Mister E Hotel and features custom hand-painted and spray-painted murals with hidden illusions, as well as 15 illusive photo ops and hands-on activities.

One of the highlights of the exhibit is the “Travelvator,” a never-before-seen video technology that takes visitors on a virtual tour around the outside of the station. The rooms in the exhibit are based on five categories: color, nature, art, technology, and perspective, offering a variety of experiences for visitors to enjoy.

In the perspective room, visitors can explore how illusions can shift perspectives of the world around them with the help of vision and how our brains understand and contextualize our surroundings. Admission to the exhibit is $16.50, with free entry for kids 12 months and under and Union Station members. For more information, visit unionstation.org.
