Exploring the Science and Sustainability of Beef Production: A WKU Hospitality Management and Dietetics Program Collaboration

The WKU Hospitality Management and Dietetics program, in collaboration with The Kentucky Beef Council, will host a presentation on “The Science & Sustainability of Beef Production” on Wednesday, April 17th from 12:45 to 2:25 PM in Academic Complex 213. This session aims to provide interactive and educational experiences for students to understand where their food comes from and highlight the importance of sustainability in the beef industry.

Joe Lowe of Oak Hollow Angus, a prominent figure in the Kentucky beef industry, will be one of the featured speakers at this event. He will discuss various aspects of beef production, sustainability, and the science behind it. Mr. Matthew VanSchenkhof, instructor for the WKU Hospitality Management and Dietetics program, stated that this presentation is an essential opportunity for students to gain a deeper understanding of beef production and its impact on sustainability.
