Histoire TV, the popular history network owned by TF1 Group, has entered into an exclusive agreement with producer-distributor Big Media for the European science co-production Scanning History. Under the terms of the agreement, Histoire TV will have exclusive TV rights in France and French-speaking Africa. The channel will also work alongside broadcasters in Germany, Spain, and Czechia to shape the editorial direction of the six-part program, showcasing collaboration in the creation of science and history series.
In addition to the co-production agreement, Histoire TV has secured a multi-layered deal with Big Media for the licensing of finished series such as Spycraft and Secret Vatican Files: The Pope & the Devil. This collaboration aims to bring high-quality entertainment and informative series to the viewers of Histoire TV while also gaining a competitive advantage in the television landscape.
Scanning History is a six-part series that delves into how technological advancements have influenced modern archaeology. The series will explore the shift from traditional archaeological practices to modern techniques involving satellite photography, digital imaging, 3D technology, isotope analysis, tomography, and mass spectrometry. Through on-the-ground case studies and interactions with leading archaeologists, the series aims to provide viewers with a glimpse into the evolving world of archaeology.
