The upcoming Dragon Ball Z theme park in Saudi Arabia is set to offer a unique experience for fans of the original Japanese anime television series. With over 30 themed rides, hotels, and restaurants, the entertainment venue will feature seven different areas inspired by the original Dragon Ball Z anime.
Saudi Arabia has made significant investments in video games and anime productions as part of its Qiddiya project, which aims to boost tourism in the kingdom and diversify its economy away from oil reliance. To achieve this goal, the kingdom has collaborated with Japan-based companies like Toei Animation and MiSK to create new experiences for visitors.
The theme park is set to open at Qiddiya City in Riyadh, which is a massive project that aims to offer over 400 attractions to residents and visitors. In addition to the Six Flags park, waterpark, and various entertainment options, Qiddiya City is expected to become a major tourist destination.
One of the “world first” rides at the theme park will be a 230-foot-high roller coaster named Shenron after the series’ iconic magical dragon. Other attractions include a haunted house ride based on one of Dragon Ball Z’s most popular characters – Piccolo Jr., an interactive game featuring Krillin where visitors can practice their fighting skills against other players and much more!
The Saudi Public Investment Fund has been instrumental in funding projects like Qiddiya City as part of its goal of attracting 150 million tourists annually by 2030. With past events and attractions being successful already, Saudi Arabia is working towards establishing itself as a top tourist destination on the global stage.
