Elvis Presley’s Granddaughter Sues for Fraud and Saves Property from Foreclosure in Battle over Estate Deed.

1 min read

In May, actress Riley Keough, the granddaughter of Elvis Presley, filed a lawsuit against Naussany Investments, which claimed to hold the deed to the property. Naussany alleged that Lisa Marie Presley, who passed away in 2023, had used the estate as collateral for a $3.8 million loan that she failed to repay. Keough accused Naussany of fraud and sought to protect the estate from foreclosure. A Shelby County Chancery Judge granted Keough’s request and stopped the sale, prompting Naussany to drop their foreclosure efforts.

The Tennessee Attorney General’s office had previously mentioned that they were looking into possible fraud related to the case. However, after reviewing the matter, they have decided to refer their investigation to federal investigators. According to a statement from the office, they believe that this matter is best suited for federal law enforcement and have faith that their federal partners will handle it appropriately.

In response to this news, Naussany Investments has not released any information about their plans moving forward with regards to the property or any legal action they may take against Riley Keough or her family members. The Department of Justice has also declined to comment on the matter at this time.
