Qatar Shipyard Technology Solutions has partnered with Armada Technologies to install Passive Air Lubrication Systems (PALS) on vessels. The goal of this collaboration is to enhance vessel energy efficiency, reduce operating costs, and decrease the emission of carbon and other pollutants from ships.
As part of the partnership, Armada will offer technical and commercial support to assist in integrating PALS into vessel designs. This support includes providing initial efficiency saving estimates and design information for proposed installations. Ecochlor, a company known for its expertise in global sales, marketing, and engineering, will serve as the execution partner for the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and ensure that PALS delivers consistent fuel savings for vessels regardless of type or operating conditions worldwide.
The CEO of Ecochlor, Andrew Marshall, expressed his endorsement of the partnership, emphasizing the positive impact on the marine industry. He stated that he is thrilled to include Armada Technologies as part of their portfolio of environmentally friendly technologies. Ecochlor is dedicated to driving long-lasting, positive changes to support shipowners in their efforts to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainability in the maritime sector.
