The Eau Claire Health Alliance has recently launched a new initiative to assist individuals struggling with alcohol, tobacco, or substance misuse. “The Little Recovery Book” is now available both in print and online throughout the Eau Claire community. The book provides valuable information on resources such as harm reduction strategies and peer-run respites, along with easy-to-find contact details for those seeking assistance during a crisis.
Renee Sommer, Director of At The Roots LLC within the Health Alliance, emphasized the importance of providing clear pathways to recovery for individuals trying to access treatment. She highlighted the challenges people face when seeking help and emphasized the need for education on available resources through “The Little Recovery Book.” By educating the community on available resources, individuals are empowered to take their first step towards seeking help and building a more resilient community.
Since its release on June 13th, the Health Alliance hopes that “The Little Recovery Book” will have a positive impact by connecting individuals in need with the support they require to combat substance misuse. Individuals can download the book from the Eau Claire Health Alliance website to benefit from its valuable resources.
