Dubai Expo City Authority has established a non-profit organization called the Dubai Expo City Foundation to support and develop innovative ideas that benefit society and the planet. This new entity is an extension of the successful Expo Live, a global innovation and partnership program launched within the framework of Expo 2020 Dubai. The Foundation aims to connect individuals, ideas, and resources to find solutions to pressing challenges and create opportunities for financing, cooperation, investment, and business.
Following the hosting of COP28 climate summit and the world’s most comprehensive expo, the Foundation is working to strengthen Dubai’s position as a hub for purposeful partnerships. The launch event was attended by government officials, institutions, partners, and innovators, including Reem Al Hashemi and Hessa bint Issa Buhumaid. They emphasized the Foundation’s commitment to creating a better future through giving, benevolence, and positive change.
The mission of the Foundation is to support social entrepreneurs across different sectors through partnerships that bring together individuals and institutions. The event featured a dialogue session on charitable work and social development that highlighted the potential for the UAE to become a global center for designing and implementing charitable projects and solutions to global challenges.
The Foundation aims to continue the legacy of Expo Live by supporting initiatives that have a positive impact on millions of people worldwide. Through its efforts, it hopes to make Dubai a beacon of hope for those seeking innovative solutions to some of humanity’s most pressing issues.
