Nebraska Cornhuskers have gained a significant addition to their 2025 recruiting class with the commitment of four-star defensive lineman Malcolm Simpson from Galveston, Texas. The announcement was made on Sunday evening following an official visit to Lincoln.
Simpson is highly regarded by major recruiting services and has received scholarship offers from several schools, including Baylor, Houston, Kansas, Oklahoma State, and USC. In the past two seasons, he has played 17 games and recorded impressive statistics, including 62 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, seven sacks, two forced fumbles, and one pass deflection.
His commitment to Nebraska makes him the 11th addition to the Huskers’ recruiting class and the third commitment this month following Pierce Mooberry and Jamarion Parker. The addition of Simpson adds depth and talent to the Nebraska roster and fans are excited to see his impact on the team in upcoming seasons.
