An individual has been arrested by the Danish Police for making a bomb threat against Billund airport, the second most important airport in the country. The airport was evacuated after receiving the threat around 10:30 am.
Southeast Jutland Police Inspector Michael Weiss urged citizens not to go to the airport and issued a statement confirming that authorities were currently conducting a thorough search of the airport with investigators, canine units, and bomb squads. However, there has been no confirmation of a bomb’s presence yet.
The airport has suspended all activities and there is no set time for when operations will resume according to the Police statement. The situation is still under investigation, and updates will be provided as necessary.
