Culinary Crisis in Orange County: Restaurant and Food Vendor Closures Due to Health Issues

During the week of April 25 to May 2, several restaurants and food vendors in Orange County faced health issues that led to temporary closures. Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club’s kitchen in Newport Beach was closed on May 1 due to a cockroach infestation but was able to reopen on May 2. Zankou Chicken in Anaheim was closed on April 29 due to a cockroach infestation but reopened on April 30. CTB Eatery in Garden Grove was also closed on April 25 due to a rodent infestation but reopened on April 27.

On April 30, Texas Pit Bar-B-Que in Lake Forest was closed with no reason provided, while San Clementa Sushi Co. in San Clemente was also closed due to a rodent infestation but was able to reopen on May 1. Orange County Pizza in Rancho Santa Margarita was closed on April 29 due to insufficient hot water but reopened on April 30. Golden Rose Mediterranean Cuisine in Buena Park was closed on April 29 due to a rodent infestation but reopened on April 30.

John’s Incredible Pizza Co., Royal Wok, Cho Tam Bien, and Seoul Haus were all closed on April 25 for various reasons such as cockroach and rodent infestations, but were able to reopen soon after. The list of closures is updated weekly based on information from the OC Health Care Agency database.
