Delgado Community College and Cox Communications have joined forces once again to offer a Small Business Leadership Academy aimed at providing continuing education and leadership development to diverse suppliers in the Cox Southeast region, which covers Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. This partnership marks the fifth year that Cox and Delgado have collaborated on this initiative.
The program will focus on equipping participants with essential skills related to business management and sustainability, including topics such as accounting, organizational performance, and project management. Additionally, participants will learn about developing growth strategies tailored to their businesses. The program will be led by Delgado faculty and will take place in person at the college’s River City campus in Avondale, La.
While the program is open to all Cox suppliers and non-suppliers, priority will be given to supplier requests. Enrollment is capped at 30 participants, and those who successfully complete the program will earn continuing education units. The deadline for enrollment is Aug. 30, with orientation and program kickoff scheduled for Sept. 4 at the River City campus.
