Rob Marsh, CEO of 360 Behavioral Health in Chatsworth, California, has announced that he will be stepping down from his position on April 30th. Marsh took over as CEO in January 2022 and will transition to a board member role while exploring other opportunities. During his tenure, Marsh oversaw a significant layoff process due to stagnant payer rates and challenges in recruitment and retention faced by the company. However, since then the business has stabilized with improved rates and hiring trends.
The company was founded by Ali Sadeghi and Leili Zarbakhsh in 2003 under the name California Psychcare before being acquired by private equity firm DW Healthcare Partners in 2018. After the acquisition, Dennis Kogod served as CEO and executive chairman until November 2021 when Paul Fischer took over as CEO. Recently, there have been multiple CEO transitions in the industry including Jason Owen of BlueSprig Pediatrics who took a role at Envision Healthcare after leading BlueSprig since 2018 under KKR ownership. Kate Sheldon-Princi will serve as the interim CEO at 360 Behavioral Health, currently holding the position of chief operating officer at the company.
With his departure, Marsh leaves behind a legacy of turning around a struggling business through difficult decisions such as laying off employees during tough times but ultimately stabilizing it for future growth. The company is now focused on expanding its operations with plans to open two locations in Nebraska in addition to its current centers in California. The industry continues to see changes as companies adapt to new challenges and opportunities ahead.
