A fire broke out at the building housing the Butler County Health Department and Butler County EMA office in Greenville, Alabama on Sunday morning. The flames consumed the entire building despite efforts to put them out. Unfortunately, the building was declared a total loss.
Luckily, no one was inside the building at the time of the fire, and there were no reported injuries. However, the cause of the fire is still under investigation, with authorities ruling out arson as a possible cause.
In response to the fire, the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) is currently working to secure a temporary location to provide health services to residents of Butler County. Until then, residents are advised to seek health services from the Crenshaw County Health Department or other nearby locations. The ADPH website contains contact information and operating hours for all county health department locations for reference.
