Brockton Firefighters Battle Late-Night Blaze in Challenging Conditions

1 min read

Firefighters in Brockton, Massachusetts faced a challenging battle overnight as they worked to contain a large fire that spread to multiple businesses. The blaze began in a building that housed several businesses before moving to a nearby home, causing minor damage to the siding.

The majority of the damage occurred in a building on Main Street near East Nilsson Street. Fire investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire, and Brockton Fire Chief Brian Nardelli has described it as difficult due to the late hour and above-normal temperatures at the time. Despite seeing a woman being taken away in an ambulance, there were no significant injuries reported.

Chief Nardelli stated that two individuals were able to escape from the basement on their own, and fortunately, no one needed rescuing. The building housed a soul food restaurant, convenience store, and beauty salon, all of which were closed when the fire broke out. However, social media users can follow NBC10 Boston on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter for updates on the incident.
