As spring sports are winding down, Brenden Asher has been named the final Patriot Auto Group Athlete of the Week, powered by Tri County Tech. A consistent pitcher for Bartlesville High, Asher has been a three-year varsity District starter and a three-year Doenges Ford Indian pitcher. He will finish his high school career before signing to play NCAA Division I baseball at Oral Roberts next year.
Over the past four years, Asher has continuously improved, never having an ERA over 3.2 as a District starter. He will be the third Bruin to play at ORU since 2017, and he discusses why he chose to play for the Golden Eagles. Despite an up-and-down 2024 season, Asher and his fellow seniors have led a younger group of Bruins.
As Regionals are set to begin on Tuesday for BHS, Asher talks about Bartlesville’s outlook. While the official bracket for Regionals has not been released, BHS will head to Union for a first-round game against the Redhawks. Congratulations to Brenden Asher on this well-deserved recognition!
