On Friday morning, a three-alarm fire broke out at a business located in southwest Charlotte. The fire started at the corner of Olympic and Carpet streets, near Nations Ford Road, around 5:45 a.m. Thankfully, no injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
The Charlotte Fire Department responded to the scene and quickly realized that they needed additional resources to effectively extinguish the flames. Despite these challenges, they were able to control the fire in about 50 minutes. Officials are currently investigating the cause of the fire, and no further details have been released at this time.
This incident comes just days after firefighters successfully put out a two-alarm fire at a restaurant in southwest Charlotte.
