Bob’s Stores, a subsidiary of GoDigital Media Group, is shutting down all its locations and liquidating all inventory as part of a Chapter 11 restructuring petition filed on June 18. The going-out-of-business sales started on Friday with discounts of 30-70% off on workwear, footwear, team wear, everyday clothing, store fixtures, furniture, and equipment.
The closure of Bob’s Stores will mark the end of an era for many customers who have relied on the retailer for their clothing and footwear needs. Despite efforts to make changes to the company’s structure and operations, Bob’s Stores was unable to secure the necessary finances to continue operations. Hilco Merchant Resources and Gordon Brothers will manage the liquidation event for all 21 Bob’s Stores locations throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island.
