Bill Mack named 2024 Elbert K. Fretwell Educator of the Year for his exceptional teaching skills and community service leadership

Bill Mack, a dedicated Social Studies Instructor at Schuylkill Technology Center North Campus, was recognized as the 2024 Elbert K. Fretwell Educator of the Year by the Hawk Mountain Council BSA. The award was presented during a breakfast held on April 26, 2024 at STC North Campus.

Bill Mack’s exceptional teaching skills and ability to inspire leadership in his students were noted by Shannon Brennan, Director of Schuylkill Technology Center. Mr. Mack has also demonstrated a commitment to community service throughout his career. He holds leadership positions in various organizations, including serving as District President and Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler for the Pennsylvania Elks Association. Additionally, he is an advisor for the SkillsUSA program at Schuylkill Technology Center.

With sixteen years of teaching experience under his belt, Bill Mack began his career at North Schuylkill School District before moving on to teach at Schuylkill Technology Center. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree from Bloomsburg University, and is currently working towards his Principal’s Certification from Alvernia University. Bill and his wife Holly are proud parents of daughter Laynie.
