America’s Rising Stars Take on the World: 2024 World Aquatics Open Water Swimming Junior Championships

The United States will be represented by a 12-strong team of talented swimmers at the 2024 World Aquatics Open Water Swimming Junior Championships in Italy. The event, which is set to take place in September, promises to feature exciting competitions in various distances.

Joining Weinstein on the roster are three of her Sandpipers of Nevada teammates, including Sianna Savarda, Gabriel Manteufel, and Luke Ellis. There are also two swimmers from Saint Petersburg Aquatics, Cobe Hehenberger and Brinkleigh Hansen, who will be competing in the Championships.

The U.S. roster features nine first-time participants, with Weinstein, Ellis, and Claire Stuhlmacher from NOVA of Virginia being the only swimmers with previous experience at the event. The Championships will offer races in different distances for each age group, including 5km, 7.5km, and 10km events.

According to USA Swimming National Team Open Water Director Bryce Elser, this will be an excellent opportunity for young athletes to gain international racing experience and represent their country on a global stage.
