In the latest Longines World’s Best Racehorse rankings, National Treasure emerges as a top-performing United States-bred and -raced horse. Following his impressive victory in the Metropolitan Handicap (G1) at Saratoga Race Course, National Treasure has dominated the racing scene. He finished 6 1/4 lengths ahead of his competition and now holds a record of 2-0-0 from three starts with earnings of $3,769,000 this year. Despite his impressive performance, National Treasure maintains his rating of 121 and is currently tied for fourth place along with Senor Buscador.
Senor Buscador recently resumed training at the San Luis Rey Training Center in Southern California after competing in the Dubai World Cup (G1) at Meydan Racecourse. The top spot in the rankings is held by Laurel River, an American-bred horse who won the Dubai World Cup and holds a rating of 128. City of Troy, a recent winner of the Epsom Derby (G1), has entered the rankings and is tied for second place with a rating of 123 along with Rebel’s Romance.
