For my most recent trip, I opted for an eight-hour red-eye flight on a new airline called Norse Atlantic Airways. Despite never having heard of the airline before, I decided to give it a try.
I chose the economy light ticket, which included a seat and space for a personal item, for a total of $88. Additionally, I paid $75 to select a window seat ahead of time and a $20 fee for airport check-in, bringing my total cost to $183.
Norse Atlantic Airways is a budget airline that launched in 2022, offering nonstop flights from the US to destinations in Germany, Norway, the UK, France, and Italy. Typically, I appreciate domestic red-eye flights for giving me an extra day at my destination, but I had never experienced an international red-eye flight before. To my surprise, the long overnight flight left me feeling exhausted at the beginning of my trip
