A 22-Year-Old Jumps to Victory in Paris: The Surprising Winner of the Global Champions Tour

1 min read

Paris played host to the Global Champions Tour, where Jeanne Sadran emerged victorious. At just 22 years old, Sadran rode her eleven-year-old stallion Dexter to a faultless jump-off, securing her the top spot. Her win earned her a prize of over 100,000 euros from a total pool of just over 300,000 euros.

The jump-off round saw four pairs complete the normal round without faults and progress to compete. Kent Farrington on Myla finished in second place, followed by Johan-Sebastian Gulliksen from Norway on America in third place, and Spencer Smith from the USA with Keeneland in fourth place. While these riders were faster than Sadran in the decisive round, each had one knockdown, giving Sadran the edge in the competition.

The German riders did not have a significant impact on the results of the show jumping event. Philipp Schulze Topphoff from Havixbeck near Münster and Carla were the highest-ranking German pair in twelfth place. In the overall ranking after eight of 15 stages, Spaniard Eduardo Alvarez Aznar continues to lead, followed by Christian Kukuk from Riesenbeck and Max Kühner representing Austria.
