49ers Sign Underrated Free Agents Patrick Taylor and Eric Saubert, Set to Make an Impact on the Offensive Side of the Ball

1 min read

In recent news, the 49ers have made some moves on the offensive side of the ball by signing two free agents. Running back Patrick Taylor and tight end Eric Saubert have both joined the team on one-year deals. While Taylor’s signing was previously reported, Saubert’s addition had gone unnoticed until now.

Saubert played one game for the Cowboys and nine games for the Texans in the last season. Despite having a relatively short stint with Houston, he managed to accumulate three catches for 12 yards during his time with them. Throughout his career, Saubert has played in a total of 84 games and has had stints with several teams including the Falcons, Bears, Jaguars, and Broncos.

On the other hand, Taylor had a productive spell with the Packers where he had 65 carries for 261 yards and one touchdown along with 14 catches for 69 yards in 34 games. Both Taylor and Saubert will be looking to make an impact for the reigning NFC champs during the upcoming season.
